You need phone data so that you send us your exit stamp and receive your visa
Some people at the border will try to take you by bike, or act like you should work with them — do not work with them and do not pay them. Just follow this guide and walk to Laos.

Laos processing
If your passport is not visa free for Laos, go to the central office to get your Laos visa.
Bring 1,500,000 VND and one passport photo for a 1 day sticker visa (cash only)
Go to the Laos Entry booth and present your passport.
In some cases, if you say you are doing a visa run, the officer may give you an entry stamp immediately and let you skip the entry process
When received, present your visa at the Entry booth.
Walk back to the car.
Final note
At some exit and entry booths, officers may request 50,000 to 100,000 VND — those are unofficial/bribe/tip fees, not official charges. You are not obliged to pay the fee, but they might deny you entrance until you do so. Pro tip: if you are pressured to pay, ask whether card payment is accepted, ask if they will provide a receipt, or say you didn't bring any extra money.
These instructions apply only if you are eligible to enter Laos and re-enter Vietnam with a valid visa.
